Holifield Huntley - Financial Advisers
Rhonda Holifield

Rhonda Holifield spent nine years at a fee-only financial advisory firm in Tampa, where she was the senior planner and chief investment adviser. She has managed client assets through bear and bull markets, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a variety of market conditions, and she has dealt with a broad range of financial planning questions and concerns. Rhonda decided to form an independent financial advisory company so that she could focus her time and energies on serving a select group of clients. Holifield Huntley was born during lunch with Helen Huntley as they discussed Helen’s plans to leave the St. Petersburg Times.

Rhonda has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional since 2002. She also is one of fewer than 500 planners in the nation to qualify as a Certified College Planning Specialist (CCPS). She is a member of the Financial Planning Association and the National Institute of Certified College Planners.

Rhonda first became interested in financial planning while working at the St. Petersburg Times as business news editor. In 1997 and 1998, she and Helen went through a rigorous series of financial planning courses at Florida Institute of Technology. Rhonda passed the national CFP® exam in November 1998. After 12 years at the Times, she left to pursue a career in financial planning.

In addition to a Certificate in Financial Planning from Florida Institute of Technology, Rhonda has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, where she graduated magna cum laude from the Honors College, and a master’s degree from Louisiana State University.

Rhonda moved to Florida in 1988, and she lives in St. Petersburg with her husband and son. She is an active volunteer at her church and her son’s school. In her rare spare time, she reads, writes, gardens and exercises.
